It’s time for the second instalment of our Ninja Nice List!
Continuing our digital marketing gift-fest, one ‘gift’ Google gave us all this year was clear guidelines about its game-changing approach to E-A-T. As with many of Google’s ‘gifts’, some recipients were dancing in the streets whilst others were reaching for their well-worn Google voodoo dolls.
If your site saw movement this summer, there’s a reasonable chance it had something to do with E-A-T.
But, whether your site has been impacted yet or not, our strong recommendation is to get to grips with E-A-T and understand Google’s official position on it. So, with that in mind, here are our E-A-T Christmas treats that you can really sink your teeth into (see what we did there 😉).
What is E-A-T? (and Why It’s So Important for SEO)
E-A-T stands for Expertise, Authority, and Trust — three factors that Google uses to measure how much trust it should place in a brand or website. Google wants to give its customers (search engine users) the best experience possible, so it only wants to promote websites that it fully trusts.
Domains and businesses with the best display of Expertise, Authority, and Trust should not only see themselves promoted by Google, but this should also correlate and result with improved trust and purchases by a business’ target audience.
